I am IRISH & I notice a lot of debate here between you all about the meaning of "ZOMBIE". This song has NOTHING to do with global politics...it is about the troubles in Northern Ireland and the pain that WE innocent Irish civilians have endured at the hands of the long fued between political parties, the loyalist unionists, IRA (Irish Republican Army) etc...much like "U2 Sunday Bloody Sunday" it is meant as a collective cry for help from the Irish people to STOP the fighting! STOP FIGHTING!!!

I so agree with you on this one. All you guys want to insult each other when you don't even know each other! And Monkofmine, i am British, on a site like this that should not even matter. If you don't like what another person likes just respect it and move on!

Further if you don't like where a person is from there is no need to insult them, thats just racist and wrong!

I love the Cranberries, come on people show some love for your fellow man!

wtf, every single song, all it contains are racism and hate etc, why dont you all stfu and just actually enjoy the music?majority of you have had no combat experience as to know what its really like,so why not try it? and then start shouting your head off?
at the end of the day, we're all humans, we all breathe the same air, thats the point shes trying to make in this song, to put an end to it all, all this arguing an bickering solves nothing, but causes more war, so why not all stfu n smile :D

that's a really distressing sentiment.. are we pussies because a more advanced force that was larger and richer took advantage of us? this was going on before america ever began, as an english colony. so shut up and educate yourself before you force the inconvenience of pointing out your mistake on someone else.
