Scottsboro is my hometown. My family has lived here for generations and 1)First Monday didn't decrease in popularity, the city wanted to downsize it because of their own agendas and 2) Nobody mentions the case of the Scottsboro Boys because most would rather let sleeping dogs lie and we would all like our hometown to be known for something other than that.

Scottsboro is my hometown also, I've lived here for 62 years and still do. First Monday is rapidly dying and will not exist a few years form now despite the city now trying to save it. Many people now talk freely about the Scottsboro boys case. It has finally come out of the closet, as it should be, and we have accepted it was a terrible, ignorant thing to have happened here. the new historic marker on the square shows that we have accepted our part in the case and are ready to move on.

wow you told the whole story I so glad you did. I live in scottsboro and have been a vendor or a vendor's child for 40 years. I had trouble loadin' my 8 min vid yesterday I know you had trouble too, it gets better, nice to meet you sir. Peace

Thanks for the compliments and good to know some other local people are on Youtube too. I'll have to watch what I tell better since local knowledge will pick up on any errors I make.
