This Chadbourne & Parke conference targets members of the business

community seeking to learn about opportunities and risk management

of green business in the wake of impending climate change

legislation and litigation. The green business revolution will offer

businesses both challenges and opportunities. The purpose of our

The original Clean Air Act took more than a decade to write.Congress

will not solve the climate problem with one piece of

legislation.With 50 year targets,untested markets,and new

technologies coming on line,climate change legislation will continue

to be a focus of Congress and the Administration for the foreseeable

future.One thing seems clear:the next Administration will likely be

far more proactive in dealing with climate change than the current

one.Emissions and energy trading is a key strategy to lower carbon

footprints of businesses and this panel will discuss the status quo

as well as the possible future of it.
