That's right. It was NET, which, just like PBS, had shown educational programs. On October 5th, 1970, NET had went off the air, and PBS{Which is it's now known sucessor}went on the air. PBS was actually created on November 3rd, 1969, and even between 1969 and 1970, PBS began to take over programming that was on NET.

ahh the memories... my parents wouldn't get cable, so i watched pbs all day.
