Part 1 of 10. This is the Japanese animated version of Jack and the Beanstalk from 1974. It used to play on HBO and the Disney Channel back in the 80's. This is probably the earliest movie I can ever remember watching.

Love it if somebody uploaded that up here! I've noticed the German version uses that too despite renaming some of the characters and changing the plot a little (this opening alone cuts out a lot of this rather artsy opening sequence).

Never really thought about that, but it's probably just an error in creating the English lyrics to the song to fit, not sure how the song was in the Japanese version if it makes the same mistake.
