I would like to see one of these guys fight someone like... what... Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Lidell, Fedor, Couture, Mirko Cro Cop, Bonjasky, Mr. Perfect, Jones Jr.... those are fighters... these are not fighters... these are moviestars... pro-Wrestling is better than this... at least its entertaining...

its stupid that they have to wear shinguards...

Isn't K-1 the same thing, but much faster and realistic? Oh~ and it's fight in the ring than circular floor~

k-1 is a kick boxing format also but in terms of "realism", this is a 3 minute long fight instead of several rounds, so they have to fight real hard right away to knock the opponent out.

The only problem I would see possibly emerging is some fighters not being in top form because some may feel that only fighting two 3 minute fights means they don't have to be in great shape, but I'm sure Chuck Norris will make sure this won't be a problem long term ;).

You can do knees silly!

My bad, but you can't clinch.

True enough. But the basic concept behind the WCL is pretty cool: Fast paced action. I think that you and I are fans of combat sports and appreciate the finer points of the game. But most fans are just into seeing someone get hammered. They don't care about finesse.
