if u were around in those days u would have seen how racist white people where to coloured people. this is nothing compared to what used to go on against coloured people.

haha, doesnt justify his behaviour at all!!!!
how many times did you hear THE TRUE GREATEST M.L. KING say anything derrogatory towards another race. how many times did mahatma ghandi call another indian and uncle tom for being friends with a few white people ? Ali was a black supremacist and no different to the klan
shammi13 (January 3, 2009 at 6:50 am)
its because he was lead by elijah muhammad. the black muslims where the only people at the time that wanted blacks to be independant and not reliant upon white people. i'm not taking anything away from gandhi or MLK, but there were politial leaders, not entertainers like ali. he was the first sports figure to open his mouth to racist whites, stand up to them, give up his titles and career, and he was pissed off at the time so he was bound to retaliate when he got challenged by anyone
hoyorfoyor (January 3, 2009 at 6:54 am)
the elijah muhamed fuckers were racist too, not onli did they want black independency they stood for blacks only being limited to other blacks. they didnt want anything to do with white people and ali allowed himself to be brainwashed by the so called band of "muslims".

ye cos they were sik of ass liking whites andbein kicked around by them. they wanted their own restaurnts, businesses, communities, instead of trying to push themselves into places where they were not wanted. intergration would never have worked. it hardly works today. everyone judges by the colour of skin and blacks are still not treated as well as they could be. p.s. i'm not black by the way

nothin like a healthy debate in the mornin :)
hmm what ya say is tru. i guess i just hate the way people say everything about ali is great and give him a god like status, ali gives himself a god like description in this interview too, saying hes the greatest champion of the world (only in boxing btw. he was a good athlete thats about it in my opinion. other than that i think he was a bigomist arragont cocky showboater.
shammi13 (January 3, 2009 at 7:04 am)
well thats just your opinion. i see him as a united nations messenger of peace, a man who gave up nearly 4 of his prime boxing years to oppose war, a man who has helped free hostages in afghanistan and a man who has set up over 50 hospitals worldwide.

keep it up then :)
