Jerry Fallwells God, is a prick!

After I heard this, I joined People for the American Way.

If Jerry Falwell didn't like them, I figured I would enjoy their point of view!

Hey what a song! How about these lyrics:

I go to the gas station-to pump some gas
I stick it in the exhaust pipe-like you do your a**-People begin to wonder-how can I be so dumb-but this analogy I am showing-is just good old fasion fun-Who cares if it is unhealthy-because I have my rights-to display my stupidity-and senseless logic to new heights-This song that I wrote-is done in a certian way-to remind your time is comming which is your judgement day.

He's like Buddy Holly and Bill Mahr rolled into one supreme being. Kudos on calling like it is

There actually is a difference between referring to your CREED in unflattering terms and accusing EVERY MEMBER of being evil. You accused ALL humanists of wanting to harm people of faith. I never accused all christians of wanting to do anything at all. I never attacked you at all, nor did I attack your ideals. I just said that you were focusing on my impending punishment after death, which was true... and sad.

Well, it sounded like you were implying us to be a murderous band of hateful people. By the way Christians only focus on your punishment after death because they feel like they need to protect you from it. You are right about one thing, people need to focus on something other than the hellfire and brimstone. Sure it exists in the scripture that we follow but as the main character said to the Bob's in office space.. people will only work hard enough to not get fired. (or something like that)

It's also the sin problem, because sin is death, as the scholar says. Christianity can become fixated on sin, corruption, and death. Viewed from the outside it can be a very grim religion. Not always, but often enough that you would notice.

The part that I find sad is that you seem to have such an awful, and innacurate, view of humanity as lazy, evil, and just bad. That just isn't true. People are good, too.
