Wow. Sherdog has Khaosai as the boxing counterpart to Kid Yamamoto and I have to agree. Brutal power with the skill to use it properly. I never knew who Khaosai was until that article and I must say that had this guy gotten the chance to fight in America, he would have become a sensation. The term "Beautiful Carnage" comes to mind when watching him fight.

It's because of business. Khaosai've interviewed that he wanna fight Watanabe, Roman and those top fighters and wanna go to America. But his manager and the managers of those fighters never had agreement. At the twilight of his career, he was exploited by the politicians. They brought him to fight at their own provinces that's why he didn't go to fight abroad lately.

Those who dislike Khaosai always accuse him for not defending his title abroad but he did it 5 times. Not many champs have that record. Most guy he fought was either ex-champ or became champ after fighting him. Some was a legitimate contender. Both Khaosai and Roman fought Monserrat. Roman defeated him by split-decision. Khaosai ko'ed him on 2rd. Roman lost to Moon who lost to Khaokor who lost to Espinoza who lost to contreras who lost to Khaosai. Khaosai vs Roman would be good fight though.

My point really is that Harada proved he was without a doubt the best bantamweight at the time by beating Jofre, Lopez proved he was the best by beating Alvarez. Roman and Galaxy were the best at the weight in the late 80's, both with long dominant title reigns but the fact they didnt fight each other means you cant really say one is better than the other when you rank them alltime. Galaxy is one of the best asian fighters ever and one of the best superflys ever, there is no doubting that.

I have to admit I never saw Jofre Vs Harada or Lopez Vs Alvarez, but I am guite sure they were spectecular. However, besides defeating good fighters, a boxer also receives an accolade for the impact that he has created for the sport of boxing. Because of Lopez, many small weight-class fights were televised on pay-per-view. Perhaps, Harada is great because he is a pioneer in Japanese boxing. Perhaps Khaosai is great because he has longest title defense in jr.bantamweight history.
