This song is gorgeous! I first knew of the song from when the Chinese singer Priscilla Chan sang it in her concert back in 1989. Now I finally have heard the original singer of it... lovely.

This song gives me goosebumps. It is just a beautifully written song and so perfectly performed by KC. Richard Carpenter is a truly talented songwriter (lyricist and musical).

I was 17 when this was a hit. I remember my girlfriend would sing along with it sincerely trying to mimick the greatest female singer of all times and unknowingly branding a spot in my heart and memory forever of that time.
When I heard of Karen Carpenter's death I cried and today I have to hold back the tears whenever I listen to this song.

It's sad that she passed away so early. She could teach some of today's singers a lesson or two.

This is my favorite song...
Last year, my Great Grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday. My parents decided to put together a slideshow of Oma (that's what I call her) from when she was 3 until now. This was one of the background songs...
Not long after that Oma got sick and couldn't leave the house. It took her from then until now to get better. So this song is now a song of hope. The songs are back, my lovely Oma is back.
