Tournament Time!

The Lil’ Cavs Super Bowl Tournament begins this Sunday Oct. 16th at Lehman. The Cavs will host Ansonia with the JV game at 1:00 and the varsity at 3:00. If you miss this one you are insane! Or at least mildly delusional.

Junior Varsity Finishes Undefeated!

Also closing the season with 2 wins the Lil Cavs JV remained undefeated in the regular season.

Lil’ Cavs JV – 26 Houston - 6

In the win over Houston the Lil’Cavs JV broke some big plays running. Tharon Goins scored on a 60-yard run, Devin Brown on a 70-yard run, and Greg Spearman on runs of 50 and 40 yards. Goins also had an interception and Justin Stewart and A.J. Hemmelgarn both recovered fumbles. PATs came from Nick Cummons and Mitchell Shroyer.

Lil’ Cavs Varsity Finish Season 7-2

With wins over Houston and Fort Recovery last week the varsity team improved their record for the season to 7 wins.

Lil’ Cavs-26 Houston-0

In this varsity game Cole Furgason scored on runs of 45 and 10 yards, Connor Richard on a 10-yard run and Nathan Bollheimer on a three yard run. Derek Spangler and Andrew Gilardi each scored on conversions.
Recovering fumbles for the Cavs were Cole Furgason, Dan Deafenbaugh and Clay Hoying.

Lil Cavs JV Continue Undefeated

The Li’l Cavs Junior Varsity team remained unbeaten with a victory over Union City Rage 27-6.
Devon Brown had an interception and scored 3 times running 65, 10 and 12 yards. Ryan Edelen scored on a three-yard run, and Nick Cummons and Nick Hausman each had two-point conversions.

In a second game vs Union City the Lil’ Cavs tied 12-12, scoring on a 70-yard run by Thomas Covault and a 2 yard run by Justin Stewart, who also had an interception.
